Published diffusion data for minerals have been compiled in a FileMaker Pro database that is reached by the following link:

Diffusion Database

Click on the Diffusion_Data link and login as a guest. You can use the control panel on the left to change the way in which the database is viewed, including searching for particular entries. You can redisplay all data by choosing the "Show all records" button. A few minutes of trial searches will demonstrate to you what the possibilities are. The best way to export data from the database is to choose "Select All" from the browser menu to copy the data on the screen and then paste the copied data into a word processor.

If you prefer, you can download the following Excel files:

An Excel file with all the mineral data in it.
An Excel file with all the data (minerals and melts) in it.
An Excel file with various pre-formatted graphs.
A list of refences used in the database.

This database is a work in progress. If you know of published diffusion data that should be added to this database, or if you find errors in the diffusion data, please email one of the compilers:

jbrady@smith.edu or chernd@rpi.edu

It will be most helpful if you can provide the new data or corrections in the same units and variables as reported for other minerals in the database. Be sure to include the complete citation to the original published source.
